Online experiments and a new form of rewards

The Laboratory of Experimental Economics is introducing online experiments. Invitations remain unchanged, but participation itself takes place online. For these online experiments, we are also introducing a new reward scheme: instead of standard fixed payments, we use a lottery, meaning that not all participants receive a payment, only those who are randomly selected. This allows for substantially higher rewards. In the first completed online experiment, one randomly selected participant received CZK 5,000 and ten others received CZK 1,000 each. Payments are still typically made in person at the lab.
